This term we have decided to give the children their Maths homework as a booklet rather than individual sheets each week.
Week 1 there are 3 tasks to complete - Word Problems involving negative numbers, times tables and division facts. My maths has also been set. All to be completed and returned for Wednesday. Can we ask that timestables and the division facts get corrected at home - thank you. Term 2's Maths overview - also posted here on Weebly in the What's going on section and is included at the front of the booklet should you want to have a clearer picture of what is being covered this term.

This week you will be coming home with a Term 2 Pack of homework.
It is really important that you keep this safe and do not lose it because it has all the work that you will need to do for the term, for English, Science, Humanities etc. We are starting off with a brillinat drawing piece of homework with a fact file to go with it. These need to be on A3 paper - to be provided by your teacher and coloured in fabulously to add to our display for South America in our Year 6 area. The English homework after that will involve you writing a story and adding to it, with a new chapter each week. It is therefore essential that you keep up to date with it. You can't get behind otherwise you will lose the thread of the story and miss out on vital feedback in our weekly sessions in class. Uncompleted homework this term will be given a consequence and you will be expected to stay in at break time to complete it. We look forward to the fabulous work that you will produce and hopefully by the end of term you will be able to produce it into a book and have the opportunity to read your stories to a different year group. |
