Here is the first half term's homework ready for you. Your teacher will go through it with you each week so you are clear what to do. Expectations are that it will be finished and ready to be submitted on Wednesday. As lots of it is on Seesaw this will mean sending it through to your teacher on Tuesday night.
Any missed homework will mean a sanction and you will have to complete it during a lunchtime. Good luck and have fun. Mrs Walter, Miss McFadyen and Mrs McDowell Term 2 Take away homework is attached here. You will be given a hard copy to take home with you. This is just in case it becomes lost or parents need it for reference.
We would love you to create your own segment for the 'COBIS Travel Show' and give us a
unique insight into your local area. We want you to show us what makes where you live amazing and special and why people from around the world should visit where you live. You might have unique landmarks, historical buildings and stories, indigenous animals and delicious food. Don’t forgot to tell us what the ‘guide book’ might not. If you live in an area full of different cultures, why not show us how their cultural heritage influences where you live. Tell us about positive news stories happening right now or a special cultural/traditional ‘must see’ event. We would like every student in Year 6 to create a 10 second video about the UAE. Video yourself beside a famous landmark or a special place you love to visit here. Send to your teachers so each class can make their very own 4 minute 'travel' guide to the UAE. Deadline: Wednesday 29th November. If you would like to practise some past papers at home please see the links below. ![]()

Maths Homework Booklet, just in case you have misplaced yours. ![]()
We are very luck at BSAK that we don't do SATS in Year 6. This VIDAMINS website is brilliant though and helps you revise and practise a whole range of Maths that we cover in the new curriculum. There is a video a day to watch to show you how to tackle a specific type of question. If you want to go above and beyond, see if you can complete October's challenge.
![]() This week's homework is No. 4 - Strategies from the booklet. You need to ask 3 different people how they work out those 4 sums on the paper (each a different operation) Hopefully you will see that people work things out differently. Either video or photograph the different workings out. Look forward to seeing your fabulous work. Just to ensure that the correct message is getting home.
In our Maths lesson on Sunday I go through what the homework is and what needs to be done. This homework then needs to be completed and submitted to me each Wednesday. So the children have 3 nights to complete the work. Thank you for your support with this matter. Sam Walter |
